The course focus is to educate any technology user(e.g., cell phone, laptop, PC, tablet, etc.) about best practices for protecting their identity and hardware/network integrity. Students can expect to learn about the risks associated with using networked technology and what precautions they can take to prevent easy access to their personally identifiable information (PII).
Employment Planning: Job Seeking, Resumes and Interviewing
This is a course to help guide students down a successful job seeking path. Included are the basics for preparing a strong resume, developing a Cover Letter, preparing for and getting through a successful interview, and the correct follow up process. The course includes tips on applying for jobs, researching prospective employers, and attending job fairs. This course will help guide a student out of an employment rut and get back on track. Minor things to most such as Interpersonal Skills, dress and that all-important handshake are covered.

This course is an introductory level engineering course aimed at middle school and high school science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and first year college students to provide an overview of engineering disciples and career areas. The topic is presented using the interdisciplinary Systems Engineering Process to utilize systems thinking principles on how to design and manage the development of complex systems over their life cycle.
