13 years as President of Corwin and Executive Vice President of SAGE Publications. SAGE is one of the largest Academic Publishers in the world and the leader in Social Science and Research Methods. Under Mike’s leadership Corwin transitioned from a sleepy academic press to a dynamic global leader in Professional Learning.
Teachscape, a private venture-backed education company that launched the use of video case studies and tech-embedded classroom walkthroughs in American schools.
Laureate led the way in pioneering distance and online learning degree programs for educators. Creating a new way to access and scale educational opportunity by partnering with universities to provide greater access to world class learning.
Channel One helped launch and grow the first and only satellite news and education network that produced a news program for 12,000 US middle and High Schools and 8 million students daily.

Personal

Mike is also an active volunteer in Ventura County currently serving on the boards of California Lutheran University, Interface and Chair Emerita for the Conejo Schools Foundation. He previously served as Chair of Ventura Workforce Development Board, Chair Measure I School Bond, Greater, Conejo Chamber, P20 Council. Mike was honored to be named Greater Conejo Chamber Man of the Year in 2022. Most importantly, Mike is supported by his wife Michelle and their three sons Matthew, Andrew, and Brendan. Mike and Michelle love traveling, cooking, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
